INVITATION

On behalf of the Organizing Committee we are privileged to invite you to participate in the Sixth International Congress HOTELPLAN 2016 which will be held November 04th – 05th 2016. in Belgrade, Serbia. On this occasion, a special ceremony will be organized to celebrate the opening of the upgraded, expanded and reconstructed building of the College of Hotel Management.

The Congress is organized by The College of Hotel Management in Belgrade, together with the co-organizers:
University of Prešov, Faculty of Management, Prešov, Slovakia.
College of Economy, Tourism and Social Sciences, Kielce, Poland

The Congress is open to teaching and research academics, educators, professionals, representatives of the hospitality and tourism industry and of government institutions from all over the world with an interest in the subject of tourism and hospitality.

We are looking forward to your contributions and to seeing you in Belgrade at HOTELPLAN 2016.

CONGRESS TOPICS

The principal objective of this international Congress is to encourage contributors from different fields, to analyze recent innovative work in various branches of the hotel and tourism industry. The Congress also aspires to contribute to the interdisciplinary approach with the aim to solve some vital problems facing the tourism and hospitality industry in the context of the economic crisis and the changed geopolitical architecture of the world.

The Scientific Committee will accept papers that are in line with the overall theme of the Congress, as well as papers that are closely related to one of the following topics:

  1. Socio-psychological aspects of hospitality and tourism
  2. Reconceptualization of hospitality and tourism products in the post-industrial society
  3. Geospatial expansion of hospitality and tourism
  4. Hospitality and tourism in the global information society
  5. Anthropological-cultural approach to hospitality and tourism
  6. Ethics in the hospitality and tourism industry
  7. Phenomenology of the hospitality and tourism existence
  8. Innovation processes in the hospitality and tourism industry
  9. Interpersonal and intercultural communication in the hospitality industry and tourism
  10. Contemporary trends in gastronomy and nutrition
  11. Future developments of the restaurant industry
  12. Mythological and philosophical aspects of gastro-tourism
  13. Distinctive features of management in the hospitality and tourism
  14. Marketing in the hospitality and tourism
  15. Economic and financial aspects of hospitality and tourism.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Abstract. The abstract (max. 150 words with 7 key words, with the correct use of the English language and with respect to the grammatical and spelling rules) should be sent by e-mail to hotelplan@vhs.edu.rs  (as a Word document). If the paper is written by coauthors, please indicate the e-mail address of the author who will be the correspondent. The abstract should include the title, name(s) of author(s), affiliation and e-mail address. The abstract must be typed using Times New Roman, 10 point, single spacing with justified alignment.

Paper. Page setup: text width 12,5 cm, height 18,5 cm on paper size A4, with margins as follows: top and bottom 5 cm, left and right 4,25 cm.

The text should be typed in single space without spaces between paragraphs, first line indented 0.5 cm.

The number of characters must not exceed 25 000 characters (with spaces).

ORAL AND AUDIOVISUAL PRESENTATION

Each participant will be allotted 10-15 minutes for the presentation of the paper. Expected time period for discussion at the end of presentations in each section is 20 – 30 minutes. PowerPoint and other audiovisual aids are encouraged (in case you need a special technical device, please inform the organizers in advance). The official languages of the Congress are English and Serbian, with the possibility of simultaneous translation.

PAPER REVIEW PROCESS

Submitted papers should be relevant to the overall congress theme objectives and at least one of the congress sub-themes, and should be submitted in time. All contributions must be original (i.e., not published elsewhere), follow academic writing, structure and methodology. Submissions will be blind-refereed by at least two anonymous reviewers who will decide if the submitted paper will be accepted or not.

Submissions are judged on their overall quality (design of the study, development of the concept, etc.), their significance in terms of contribution to the discipline, and their interest to conference delegates.

CONGRESS PROCEEDINGS & PUBLICATION OPPORTUNITIES

Accepted full papers will be published in the Congress Proceedings Book (M 14), and will be available for distribution during the event. Each registered delegate will receive one free copy of the book.

REGISTRATION AND FEES

Registration must be submitted online at hotelplan@vhs.edu.rs from September 5th to September 26th 2016.

All participants, excluding students who may attend free of charge, have to pay registration fee in the amount of € 50.

Congress registration fee covers: admission to all Congress sessions, full set of Congress materials and Congress Proceedings, welcome party, lunch, dinner and refreshments during the breaks. The conference registration fee does not include accommodation.

In case of non-participation at the conference, the registration fee will not be refunded. In case of interest only in the conference proceedings, without personal participation, the price is € 20.
